Jeff Hardy gets back IC title from Umaga

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Umaga v. Jeff Hardy

Hardy came right at Umaga and of course, came up on the short end of the stick. Umaga quickly pounced on the challenger and choked Hardy on the ropes. Jeff fought back with some punches to Umaga’s gut but after coming off the ropes, was hammered down to the mat by a back elbow. Umaga hit a head butt and stomped Hardy around the ring for a little while before the big man sent him careening sternum first into the turnbuckles.

Umaga sent the challenger reeling over the ropes and to the floor, leaving him in a heap as we went to commercial break.

****Commercial****

We came back to Umaga slapping Hardy all over the ring. He slapped on a claw move on Hardy’s shoulder, keeping him at bay on the mat. Hardy fought out of the hold somehow, but Umaga caught him coming off the ropes and planted him with a Samoan drop. Umaga scaled the ropes and went for a diving head butt, but no one was home.

Hardy began to make some inroads, hitting some flying forearms and the mule kick. He went for a sunset flip and when Umaga tried to sit out, Hardy avoided him and hit a baseball kick to the grill for a two count. Hardy kept it coming and went for a twist of fate but as Umaga pushed him off, settled for whisper in the wind instead for another near fall.

Hardy looked for a high cross body block, only to get caught in mid air and getting hit with a tilt a whirl belly to belly. Umaga scaled the ropes again but Hardy was able to cut him off and knock him to the mat, stunning him. Hardy jumped on top and BARELY grabbed the three count for the victory.

old jeff indy appearance

i've been busy the past few weeks, just bought a laptop from tpc... just a pretty decent notebook, enough to get some jobs done... niweys philHousing is now revamped... and i'm planning on doing the same thing to kali by next month or so... that means there won't be any frequent updates/tech news on this blog for the next couple of days... i'll just post some vids or lyrics or something just to keep the blog going... for now check this video in a small Carolina wrestling promotion where Jeff Hardy hits an indy manager with a Twist of Fate :)

The Hardys competing on singles matches for the IC and USA belts

Make it a family affair at The Great American Bash!

Thanks to his win in a Four Way Elimination Match on Raw, Jeff Hardy will once again look to wear Intercontinental gold as he squares off with the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga.

Jeff’s brother, Matt, is also seeking championship gold at The Bash, facing Montel Vontavious Porter for the United States Championship. And the Carolina tandem is looking to make this family reunion in San Jose, Calif., one to remember.

Jeff lost the Intercontinental Championship to Umaga on Raw in February, and has since worn World Tag Team gold with his brother, Matt. But losing the tag titles nearly two months ago has left this half of the Hardy house hungry for a championship.

In the same manner, Matt Hardy has had a hunger for gold. While he’s more than a month removed from losing the World Tag Team Championship, he has turned up the heat in SmackDown singles action.

In previous weeks, he’s beaten numerous SmackDown Superstars with the Twist of Fate – a move that has been scoring pinfalls seemingly out of nowhere. Can the Carolina Superstar Twist his way past SmackDown’s No. 1 playmaker to become the next United States Champion? Will it be a ‘Hardy’ helping of championship gold for Jeff? Or will the Swanton Bomber become another victim of the massive monster, Umaga?

We'll find out when the fireworks explode at The Great American Bash...

Indy battle - Matt Hardy vs AJ Styles

A must see match between these two talented wrestlers... great match, way better than Jeff's TNA debut against Styles. Happened at ICW (International Wrestling Cartel) on July 29, 2005... the time when Matt is having issues with WWE.

I want my WWE Ladder Match DVD!

Another early salary arrives, which means another early spending, which also reminds me that next week is the deadline for my web host's quarterly payment. Well, as a treat to myself for torturing my fingers into keying thousands and thousands of numerical figures every month, I decided to eat lunch at Wendy's and order their #7 combo - Big Bacon Mushroom Melt. As i was about to finish eating my burger, I realized something is not right, this is not their Quarter Pounder burger! F@*#! They gave me the smaller one, maybe because of too much hunger i didn't notice it when i ordered at the counter. Usually, it took me around 15-20 minutes chewing/grinding a BBMM.... but this one was finished in just less then 5 minutes. And since I already ate the whole burger, there's no way I can replace that (right?), at least that's what I know. Anyways, lesson learned... next time I'll probably weigh it first with my hand :)

Eniweys, I saw WWE released their LADDER MATCH DVD and I can't wait for it to be available here in Manila.

Jeff Hardy @ ROH's Death Before Dishonor 2003

After leaving the WWF/E, Hardy took a whole year off of wrestling to concentrate on motocross and finish his motocross track.

Jeff then returned to wrestling and performed with the Ring of Honor. Jeff first appeared at ROH's 2003 show, Death Before Dishonor, under his "Will O' the Wisp" gimmick, wearing a mask and trench coat. Jeff was quickly unmasked and lost his jacket, wearing attire similar to that he wore in WWE. Jeff was booed and heckled before, during, and after the match by the ROH audience (with the exception of some screaming ladies), the crowd chanted "We want Matt!" and "You got fired!" during his match with Joey Matthews and Krazy K, which Jeff won.

Hardys loses the Tag Team belts

these are the events that happened on June 4, 2007 Monday Night Raw:

After a commercial, Cade & Murdoch were seen congratulating The Hardy’s on a match well fought last One Night Stand. They asked the Hardy’s when they asked when they could have a shot. The Hardy’s said they definitely deserved a shot and offered one tonight but Cade and Murdoch declined and said they only wanted one when the Hardy’s were 100%. Vince walked up and spoiled the party, making a tag championship match for later tonight between the two teams. Cade & Murdoch looked despondent.

The Match:
The Hardy’s look a tad banged up. Cade and Murdoch didn’t look like they were crazy about being there either. They shook hands and here we go.

Cade backed up Matt Hardy and grabbed a snap mare. Matt countered wit ha bow and arrow. The two traded some holds before Cade hit a hard back elbow. Matt grabbed an inside cradle for a near fall before almost getting another pin fall with a back slide. Murdoch called Cade back to the corner to regroup before he and Matt locked it up again.

The two exchanged some moves coming off the ropes before Cade grabbed the advantage with the drop kick for a two count. Murdoch tagged in and grabbed an arm wringer before getting a two count. Cade grabbed a shoulder block but on the second attempt found himself back body dropped. Matt tagged in Jeff who entered the ring gingerly before the two hit a double team for a near fall.

Jeff grabbed an arm wringer of his own before Matt tagged in and hit an axe handle on Cade’s shoulder. The two made another tag and Jeff leapfrogged off Matt and clattered into Murdoch for a near fall. Cade missed a move and he and his partner ended up on the outside. Jeff flung himself over the top and into Murdoch on the outside.

Jeff made the tag and was screaming about his knee as we went to commercial break.

****Commercial****

Looks like Jeff has tweaked the knee and Matt is taking a beating on the inside. Matt went for an axe handle off the top but Murdoch yanked him off, literally. Cade tagged in and hit a body slam and dropped a nasty knee into the small of the back of Matt. Cade kept up the punishment before tagging his partner back into the match.

Murdoch hit some muy thai knees to Hardy’s mid section before connecting with a side Russian leg sweep for a two count. Cade tagged in and dropped an elbow on Matt’s ribs, getting a two count on the cover. Hardy hit a kick to the face on the irish whip, but Cade connected with a grizzly spine buster for a pair of two counts.

Murdoch tagged in and hit a snap mare and cinched in a reverse bear hug. The crowd rallied behind Matt and he was eventually able to hit a reverse DDT and created some distance. Matt made the tag to the clearly injured Jeff. Jeff came in a house of fire and cleaned house on the challengers. Jeff looked for the swanton bomb but Murdoch caught him at the top rope. Matt cleared out Murdoch and hit the side effect on Cade.

Murdoch dragged Hardy out of the ring but Jeff was already re-perched on the top rope. Jeff missed the swanton bomb allowing Cade to get the cover. Jeff looked like he may have had the foot on the ropes. Nonetheless, the ref counted three and we’ve got new champs.

Winners and NEW World Tag Team Champions: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch via pin fall

Matt approached the two after the match and asked if Jeff’s foot was on the ropes. They said they didn’t know. As soon as Matt turned around the two took their newly won titles and clocked the Hardy’s, leaving them in a heap in them middle of the ring.

The Hardys climb another ladder of success

It appears the so-called World’s Greatest Tag Team aren’t quite ready to scale the same heights of tandem greatness as The Hardys.

Matt & Jeff retained their World Tag Team Titles in a wild Ladder Match triumph over Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas at One Night Stand.
Matt & Jeff utilized their rung expertise early in the contest, catching Haas & Benjamin in an unfortunate multi-ladder sandwich in the corner, then later double-hiptossing each of them onto a pair of unforgiving metal structures.

Though all four participants crashed and burned at numerous points throughout the match, Matt & Jeff ultimately rallied together to dislodge The World’s Greatest Tag Team off their final ladder climb of the night. The brothers then slowly ascended atop their own ladder and grabbed the World Tag Team gold, cringing from the pain as they held their cherished prize up high for our impressed fans to applaud.

I saw this match, matt and jeff hardy sporting a new style of black cargo pants... one of the memorable moments were when all four men brought 4 ladders in the ring and the Hardys gave their opponents dropkicks to take them out; another one is benjamin jumping of a ladder to matt lying on another ladder outside the ring, similar to what Jeff did @ Wrestlemania only Jeff's ladder is way higher (20 ft). A great match, though for me not as great as what Matt & Jeff has done before during their younger years (the TLCs), you can notice that Jeff doesn't really do much of the high flying dives he's known for before... but still a great match...

TIT(Terri Invitational Tournament)

No Mercy 1999 - $100,000 Ladder Match

this is the first ever tag team ladder match in wrestling, participants were Edge and Christian against The Brood (Matt and Jeff Hardy) fighting for $100,000 and the managerial services of Terri Runnels, I think this is the first time Jeff did his signature Leapfrog - (Positioned at the top rope or on another ladder, Jeff Hardy performs a Guillotine leg drop after leapfrogging over a ladder).
